West Greenland in Winter

23rd February - 4th March 2018     (2 places left)

5th - 14th March 2018     (places available)

This will be our second season in Greenland in winter and the dates chosen will make the best of the fabulous winter landscapes and light. Our main base will be in the arctic settlement of Ilulissat. Each year the nearby Jakobshavn glacier carves into the sheltered waters of Disko Bay revealing towers, arches and walls of ancient blue and white ice. The ice fiord forms part of the UNESCO Kangia World Heritage site. We will trek the edges of the fiord and encounter close up some of these massive ice floes, meet with Inuit hunters and visit one of the small settlements further up the coast. This is an arctic adventure to be experienced full on

West Greenland in Autumn

31st August - 9th September 2018     (3 places left)

The UNESCO World Heritage site of Kangia on the West coast of Greenland will be our base this Autumn. Big Arctic skies and the colours of ancient ice, stunted willow and Inuit settlements provides us with all the ingredients for great photographic imagery. As there are no roads outside of Ilulissat we will be travelling by boat into the Kangia Icefiord at sunset. We will also visit two traditional Inuit settlements to the north and west of Disko Bay.

"I have to commend Wild Photography Holidays for putting together what I consider to have been the best photo tour. From start to finish it was impeccably researched, planned and executed with a rich, full and unique itinerary. Paul & Cubby always found us perfect locations during the workshop. The are fantastic mentors from whom I learned alot. I really appreciate how genuine and generous they have been in sharing their knowledge and talent. Thank you "

"I just wanted to write and thank you for a fabulous trip to Iceland.  You were a wonderful mentor and great company throughout the trip. I wanted to acknowledge how much I appreciated your teaching style which allowed room for creativity but I always felt you were on hand to give great advice on a different perspective or camera settings!  You are incredibly patient and your creativity for alternative ideas coupled with your positivity was infectious, motivating everyone even when the conditions were a tad trying"

"Just want to say how much I enjoyed the trip - it was a fascinating trip, with amazing scenery and culture and very well organised from start to finish. I have nothing but positive feedback to convey - the hotels were fine, the transport arrangements were first class, the locations and the amount of time we spent at each place were perfect. I owe a big thank you to Geraldine, Martin & Paul for making it such a great trip."

"Thank you so much for an excellent trip. You wore those hats so well : tour guide, chauffeur, mentor, friend. my photography has clearly improved in increments, culminating in better composition, an ability to capture movement and the Northern Lights. I can no longer consider myself a fair weather photographer ! Sock it to me and I will be out there (with super absorbent lens cloths)"
